Angelo Jackson, Owner - Head Instructor
Angelo Jackson has twenty years of experience as a coach of highly competitive high school and collegiate football teams. Angelo holds a successful track record of graduating student athletes ( 97% ), managing athletic programs, recruiting and developing talent at the high school jv and varsity levels.
Throughout his time Jackson coached professional athletes like Marcellus Wiley (Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers), Joe Bradley (Indianapolis Colts), Russell Shaw (St. Louis Rams), Lamar Lyons (Oakland Raiders), and David Sutton (Miami Dolphins).
Currently working at Salesian High School as the Offensive Coordinator. Angelo was previously Head Coach at Compton College, Jackson first signed on with the program in 1998 as Offensive Coordinator and was quickly promoted to Head Football Coach after the 2004 season. Before arriving at Compton, Jackson was Offensive Line Coach at Morningside High School (1995-96), Head Football Coach at Inglewood High School (1991-94), and Head Coach (1988-1990) and Running backs Coach (1987-88) at Saint Monica High School.
Over the years Jackson has accumulated honors of Los Angeles Times Coach of the Year (1988), Outlook Newspaper Coach of the Year (1988 and 1989), and Evening Outlook Westside Coach of the Year (1990).
Damien Orozco, Strength & Conditioning Coach
Damien Orozco is certified as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. He also holds the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation Kettlebell Certification and the American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer Certification. He has been in the Fitness industry for over 11 years.
Damien also earned a Bachelors of Science in Holistic Medicine and a Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University, Los Angeles.
Currently Damien runs his owns personal training business 'Iron Dog Fitness by Orozco' and holds the positions of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach at Salesian High School in Los Angeles. Last season Coach Damien lead several athletes in Track & Field for Salesian HS to the CIF Prelims which had not been seen since the 60's and 70's under Br. Tom Keegan. This season Damien looks to lead his Track athletes to the State Championships. Damien earned his 2009 CIF Championship ring in Soccer as the Strength and Conditioning Coach. He has also assisting with the strength and conditioning program of the Los Angeles Police Department Centurion's Football team and is currently the Conditioning Trainer for the US Forest Service Department of Agriculture, Fuego Tech Crew 76. His experience includes Olympic style strength and conditioning, plyometrics, agility, reaction time and quickness, speed training and years of industry work...!
